STATEMENT OF SCOPE (READ FIRST)

Real on-chain settlement on a TEST network only
(live-testnet). Test tokens have no real value.
NOT a production environment. This must not be described as
production, mainnet, or revenue-generating activity.

1. THE TRANSACTION

  - Amount: 0.01 USDC (x402 v2 "exact" scheme, 10,000 atomic
    units)
  - Network: Base Sepolia testnet — CAIP-2 eip155:84532,
    chain id 84532
  - Test USDC contract:

    (official x402 testnet default, per x402-foundation/x402
    DEFAULT_ASSETS.md)

3. TESTNET SAFETY LOCKS (PROTOTYPE-ENFORCED)

  - _assert_testnet() rejects anything that is not
    eip155:84532, not the whitelisted test USDC, or any
    mainnet chain id (1/8453/10/137/42161/43114/56).
  - Temporary test private keys are read from the process
    environment only — never written to files, repos, or logs.
  - Mainnet switching requires a separate, explicitly approved
    checklist (not initiated).

4. WHAT THIS PROVES — AND WHAT IT DOES NOT

  Proves: vertciti's prototype can drive a REAL x402
  machine-to-machine payment end to end (build requirements →
  sign → verify → settle → on-chain receipt), using the
  official facilitator and the official x402 Python SDK v2.

  Does NOT prove: production readiness, mainnet capability,
  revenue, or customer activity. The prototype is an in-memory
  mock; the buyer wallet's remaining ~19.99 testnet USDC is
  frozen (key destroyed with the settled process) and test
  tokens have no value.

三、测试网安全锁（原型强制）

  - _assert_testnet() 拒绝一切非 eip155:84532、非白名单测试
    USDC、以及任何主网 chain id（1/8453/10/137/42161/
    43114/56）的请求。
  - 临时测试私钥只从进程环境变量读取——永不写入文件、仓库
    或日志。
  - 主网切换需要单独的、明确批准的 checklist（尚未启动）。

四、这证明了什么——以及没证明什么

  证明：vertciti 原型能端到端驱动一笔真实的 x402 机器对机器
  支付（构造 payment requirements → 签名 → verify → settle →
  链上回执），使用官方 facilitator 与官方 x402 Python SDK v2。

  不证明：生产就绪、主网能力、收入或客户行为。原型是内存
  mock；买方钱包剩余约 19.99 testnet USDC 已冻结（钥匙随结算
  进程退出而销毁），测试币无任何价值。
